Difference between your Contact and Account records

All members have a contact and an Account record.

Your Account record is your business record and holds all your business details e.g. If you are an in Practice member and want to list your business on Find a Bookkeeper and what information about your business you wish to display. This record should be your business name.

Your Account record is your personal record which holds the following information:

  • Membership number
  • Contact details
  • Birth date
  • membership level
  • PI Insurance expiry date and who you are insured with
  • CPE
  • Files you have uploaded such as PI Insurance certificate
  • Support and Admin cases
  • Registered Agent number

PI Insurance

If you are a member with a membership level of “In Practice” such as Member in Practice then it is a requirement that you maintain current PI Insurance. To assist in keeping ICB advised of your current PI Insurance there is a “PI Insurance expiry” field in your contact record. The system will automatically send you an email reminder to update 14 days before the expiry date. If you haven’t updated then another is sent 14 days after expiry.

CPE

Members have a CPE register in their contact records to records all CPE activities.

CPE activities can be track by “Structured” and “Unstructured” hours along with goal. An activity can have more than one goal and ICB have pre populated a list of goals.

When you click on “My Profile” you will see a chart showing the sum of all your CPE. To see more details click on the chart and then “View Report”. The report will show sub totals for each goal. If you want to filter the report further e.g. by date then use the filter option.

To filter by date click on the “Activity date” and select “Custom” to pick a start and end date.

At this time the only way to export a report is to do a print screen. Export reporting is on the future developments list.

Requirements of Membership

At both application and renewal of membership there are a number of requirements which are required. E.g. evidence of your experience via the experience statement. The requests for relevant requirements will be added to your “My Membership Requirements” which can be located as a link under your profile icon top right.

To fulfil the requirement click into the relevant one and upload a file then click the “Completed” box.
