Wrkr Ltd Supporting Members Through Payday Super Changes

The superannuation landscape is changing. The ATO’s Small Business Super Clearing House (SBSCH) is closing, new employees have not been accepted since 1 October 2025, and Payday Super will soon require super to be paid on every pay run, with contributions received by funds within seven business days.

Wrkr: Trusted Across The Australian Superannuation Ecosystem

For over a decade, Wrkr and its associated businesses have delivered superannuation contributions for Australian employers, now supporting more than 2 million workers and over 70,000 employers.

Wrkr provides super clearing technology used by some of Australia’s largest super funds, including AustralianSuper, Rest and Australian Retirement Trust, enabling contributions at scale across the superannuation ecosystem.

Focused on employer compliance, Wrkr owns and operates its super payments technology, security framework and regulatory accreditations, reducing complexity and risk for employers and bookkeepers.

The platform supports all Australian APRA-regulated super funds, as well as more than 600,000 self-managed super funds (SMSFs), providing broad coverage across the superannuation landscape.

What’s Changing, And Why It Matters

From 1st July, super payments will shift from quarterly to payday, increasing frequency from four times a year to 12, 26 or even 52 pay cycles. Contributions must reach super funds within seven business days, or employers risk penalties.

With the ATO’s Small Business Super Clearing House (SBSCH) closing, businesses and bookkeepers will need new ways to manage more frequent payments, visibility and reconciliation.

The SBSCH has already stopped accepting new employees, with the final quarterly payment due in April, making now the right time to transition.
