The ATO has commenced a program of making contact with both employers and employees where an employee is listed to receive JobKeeper support from more than one employer.

While an eligible employer must provide each employee with a nomination form, the employer is allowed to rely on the declaration by the employee that they have only allowed themselves to be nominated by ONE employer for the purpose of the JobKeeper subsidy.

The Law provides joint and several liability of the employee if they have allowed overclaiming of JK amounts.

An employer must have ensured they provided the nomination form to the employees and that they received the signed declaration back before making payments to the employee and claiming back from the Government.

Letters are issuing to employees.

Letters will issue to employers.
