Institute of Certified Bookkeepers

The Fair Work Ombudsman has been very vocal in the last few years encouraging businesses to check that their payroll record keeping is compliant with the Fair Work Act 2009 and publicly prosecuting those that fail to comply.

Understanding workplace laws and how to apply them is complex. It can be time consuming, difficult to understand and implement. It requires expertise.

An HR Intermediary is a facilitator who can obtain HR expertise provided by a separate HR specialist. An HR Intermediary acts on behalf of the business owner, working with the HR expert to understand the requirements of the business and put in place the required processes and documents to comply with the Fair Work Act 2009. The need for external advice from experts who are working with these laws intensely on a daily basis, facilitated by the HR Intermediary, is critical to staying abreast of employment law changes and remaining compliant.

The role of the HR Intermediary will be to help ensure the business is complying to the Act, modern award or agreement and other employer obligations with the help of an HR & FWO expert such as Employment Innovations. The HR Intermediary becomes your link with the HR advice expert.

We (your bookkeeper) provide the HR Intermediary Services (in conjunction with the ICB systems and procedures) and obtain the expert advice and support from an HR Expert.
