I have a new client that is a family business with both husband and wife heavily involved in different areas of the business. Each month they have dinner (after hours and occassionally on weekends) where they have a business planning meeting. They take notes of what is discussed and of the plans they are putting in place for the business. Seeing as there are notes and plans to match with each of these meetings/dinners and it all points to being genuine business planning, is there any reason why the dinner couldn't be claimed as a meeting expense?
Thank you so much for your assistance.
