Client has staff that work at the mines and they have to travel to and from the mine site with tools. He lets them use the work fuel cards and wants to deduct the fuel used from their gross wage. Is this allowable as salary sacrifice?
Wondering why he would deduct the fuel from an expense that is actually incurred for work and travel being done on the business's behalf. Are they also using the card for personal expenses?
