Paying for labour through Airtasker and the liabilities

Hi Everyone,

We have just paid for an Airtasker to back fill a role while that team member is out on Workers Comp.

How is this labour handled through the software and is Super and Payroll Tax liable for this labour?

Is this your labour issue?  If you have paid through Air Tasker arent they billing you as a contractor not you paying them a wage?  If you do put them on wages then yes if they meet minimum super it will be payable and if you pay payroll tax they would be included.

Be careful with Air tasker that if they are completing BAS Services on invoice they need to be a registered agent and generally they arent.  Quite often they also dont have an ABN which requires you to withhold 47% and pay to the ATO on your BAS.
