Leanne Berry

A self-confessed "geek girl", Leanne is driven both by numbers and technology, and how the two elements can work together for the good of a client's business. She thrives on problem-solving and encourages and assists clients to derive more from their accounting and other integrated software and systems. She loves your numbers, while you love your business.

Leanne is a MYOB Certified Consultant & Partner Advisory Board Member, Xero Certified Advisor, ICB Advisory Board Member and Microsoft SMB Brand Ambassador. A social media "junkie", Leanne is always investigating new ways to use these online platforms for the benefit of her business, other bookkeepers and her clients. Beyond bookkeeping, Leanne is an expert business mentor, trainer and facilitator.

In her “spare” time, Leanne develops and writes MYOB training manuals for Software Publications. These manuals are used throughout Australia for the Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) & (Accounting). When not working, Leanne enjoys spending time with her daughter Brodie and her beautiful golden labs Bella and Cooper.

John Birse

John started as a Secondary Commerce Teacher in 1973 and moved into managing the roll out of a computerised Accounting System into Victorian public schools in the late 1980's. He took over the Jim's Bookkeeping Franchise in 2000 and became a Director of ICB in 2006 and was involved in the FNS7 Certificate IV Bookkeeping skills set with IBSA. John continues to be actively involved with the delivery of training as a member of Intuit's trainer/writer network. 

Rob Boon

Rob Boon is the founder and director of Accountability Bookkeeping and BAS Services (ABBS), a company dedicated to providing professional bookkeeping services and training the next generation of Australian bookkeepers. In the early 2000’s Rob was offering one of the very few non-accredited courses in bookkeeping before the launch of official training courses and qualifications. A process Rob was instrumental in driving forward.

Rob has over a decade of experience in direct training and delivering ongoing professional development of bookkeepers and BAS agents. He has also designed training programs to meet the professional standards essential to the professional reputation of bookkeeping.

In 2010 Rob worked with an RTO to develop one of the first Certificate IV bookkeeping courses in Australia following the introduction of the TASA Act designed to regulate and professionalise the industry. This has grown to include Certificate IV Accounting and a Diploma of Accounting, with hundreds of enrolments across Australia.

Rob has taught at the University of the Sunshine Coast and as well as a number of other Registered Training Organisations. He developed a hugely successful transition-to-practice course for recent Accounting graduates that equips new graduates with the essential skills they need to manage themselves in the workplace, and amongst colleagues and clients.

The ABBS group is committed to the highest standards of further learning and ongoing development of all group members. Rob also provides a specialist mentoring program for group members working toward their own BAS agent registration as required by the Tax Practitioners Board.

After many years as a business owner, certified practising bookkeeper, BAS agent, ASIC agent and specialist trainer and assessor in accounting and bookkeeping, Rob remains passionate about the quality of services provided by bookkeepers to businesses and the community.

Pam Chilman

Manages an RTO delivering the Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and has extensive experience with working with and supporting bookkeepers.

Along with working with businesses in education and bookkeeping related roles, Pam is accredited in a number of financial systems, both desktop and cloud.

Pam is a longstanding Fellow of ICB and is often sought after by business and industry to deliver educational sessions for her understanding of the latest trends in technology, payroll issues and the application of practical bookkeeping related matters.

Fay Eade

Fay Eade is a Certified Professional Bookkeeper and Registered BAS Agent and has been in business as Partners in Quality since 1992.

Fay was educated in Western Australia at John Curtin Senior High School, Fremantle and immediately gained employment within the Insurance industry.

A period in Melbourne saw her employed in a bookkeeping role for The Australian Gas Association.

Following a return to Perth Fay was employed in the office of a medical group and worked from home for a small trucking business and a real estate agent before taking on the complete accounting role (including payroll) for a small manufacturing company.

A return to Melbourne in 1974 led to Fay working in the legal profession for two City firms until 1981. At this point Fay was recruited by Deloitte Haskins & Sells to setup an internal manual accounting function (including payroll and project costing) for a multi-national firm of Consulting Civil Engineers with offices in Melbourne (Head Office), Sydney, Perth and Brisbane. Two years later Fay was responsible for computerising the accounting function using Attache software. Until 1991 Fay was responsible for the complete accounting function for the Australian operation and reporting to UK parent company and auditors.

Fay’s wish to be self-employed led to Partners in Quality in 1992. Since then Fay has been providing high quality bookkeeping and administration services to small and micro businesses. When TASA 2009 came into force on 1st March 2010 Fay achieved a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping FNS470210 to become a Registered BAS Agent.

Melissa Foote

Melissa Foote is the CEO of Total Business Services & Training Pty Ltd (TBST), an RTO that specialises in Financial Services and Business Management qualifications, short courses and seminars

As a Fellow of the ICB, MYOB Certified Consultant, Xero Certified Advisor, Intuit Pro-Advisor and Evernote Certified Consultant, Melissa works with small to large enterprises to solve their Accounting, software, training and implementation requirements.  She also deals with any issues or problems that they may be experiencing with their financial data or computer systems. At TBST Melissa is able to incorporate her industry experience and knowledge into the training delivery which ensures that TBST's course experience and materials are current and most important of all, relevant.

Maria Giacosa

Maria has over 25 years’ experience in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Payroll, Business Support and Training on accounting software.

She has been involved a successful bookkeeping practice in Queensland for many years and has embraced cloud accounting to provide clients with a superior service. Her breadth of experience is down to her background of senior positions in Accounting Practices, Software companies and companies in Retail, Financial Services, Construction, Real Estate and Logistics both in Australia and abroad. With a particular focus on assisting business with the information they need to grow their business, whilst ensuring they have the peace of mind of knowing that all the compliance aspects are looked after.

Her formal education includes an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Bachelor of Commerce.

Sonia Kelly

Sonia is a Certified Bookkeeper and BAS Agent who has been working as an internal bookkeeper within accounting firms since 2011. She was initially trained on the job by a team of Brisbane-based accountants, and has subsequently gained her Certificate IV in Bookkeeping from the Bookkeeping Institute of Australia, and become a BAS Agent.

Prior to embarking on her bookkeeping career, Sonia studied linguistics and teaching at QUT and UQ, and worked overseas as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher. She later studied Editing and Publishing at Southbank TAFE, and worked full-time as a copy-editor for five years, during which time she created numerous publications and websites for the Queensland Art Gallery, the Department of Primary Industries, and the Department of Natural Resources and Mines.

Her varied work experience, qualifications, life experiences and passion for precision and learning give her a unique blend of skills which have resulted in her full-time employment as Bookkeeping Principal at 360 Cloud Accounts, in Brisbane.

Sonia is an active ICB member, and attends as many meetings, technical webinars and functions as she can. She is also an associate member of IPA. She lives in Brisbane with her husband and son, a Russian blue cat, and a rescue Greyhound.

Roger Kiddle

After a career in corporate accounting and finance, Roger commenced his own consultancy business, “Bentley Consulting”, over 30 years ago. The consultancy operated as a turnaround specialist for the first 10 years with Roger taking direct control of under-performing businesses, effecting the changes required to return them to profitable trading and then handing them back.

Through the 1990’s the focus of Bentley Consulting changed, largely due to an influx of work from major banks who were looking for certainty in regard to future trading outcomes as a condition of supporting and/or advancing funds to bank customers. To meet this demand Roger developed financial modelling methodologies and techniques which still underscore much of what Bentley does today.

With a focus on analysis, interpretation and segmentation of data, Bentley puts high value on data integrity – something it looks to the bookkeeping profession to deliver. Roger has worked across many industry sectors including retail, importing, warehouse and distribution, transport, manufacturing, and a range of service industries. In addition to these activities he is the managing director of two companies in the resource recovery sector, chief financial officer of an innovation company, as well as holding a number of roles in a variety of other businesses.

Dianne McCaffrey

Dianne started her career in 1988 as Assistant Accountant using the traditional physical cash books and general ledger. Her career progressed to positions including Accounting Manager in large corporate, Accountant, Business Manager, Bookkeeper for various SME where she was fortunate to gain hands on experience with transactional based accounting, Reconciliation extraordinaire, auditing, liaising with Boards, management and staff management.

While raising a family, Dianne continued to work part-time and then starting her own bookkeeping business in 2015 and now has a small team of staff servicing clients in Melbourne, Rural, Interstate and Overseas. The services she provides are Bookkeeping, BAS Agent, Integrations, Training, Consulting and Reporting.

Over the 30 years in business, she has seen the introduction of GST, changes in regulations & compliance and accounting system and business operating systems. Assisted in audits, worked at Tax Practices, involved in data integrations and having lots of fun and frustrations along the way. Dianne's education includes : Certificate Business Studies – Accounting, Associate Diploma Accounting - financial services, Training.

Rochelle Park

Rochelle has enjoyed a career in the bookkeeping and accounting industry for over 16 years and has been the owner of several successful small businesses during that time. As a qualified and Practicing BAS Agent, Rochelle brings a solid and first hand understanding of the bookkeeping space and the technologies that support business processes.

Rochelle is passionate about working with students, supporting them on their learning journey into successful careers as bookkeepers and accountants. Rochelle also mentors bookkeepers working toward registering as BAS Agents as they acquire their required hours in a supervised environment.

Darren Roxburgh

Darren started his career in fast moving consumer goods sales and analysis before become the State Business Growth and Development Manager for CPA Australia. He then become the WA State General manager for the Institute of Public Accountants.(IPA) Darren most recently started working as the General Manager for Applied Education.

Applied Education is one of Australia's largest private training organisations that specialises in Bookkeeping, Accounting and business skills training. He has Bachelor of Commerce Degree, Advanced MBA, Diploma of Financial Planning, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Graduate Diploma in Modern Languages - Chinese Mandarin and also holds the designation of MIPA with the Institute of Public Accountants

Roslyn Van Welie

Roslyn started as a data entry clerk over 20 years ago and worked her way through to Office Manager. Roslyn needed a change and with her experience in accounts and love of numbers, she started a Cert IV in Accounting. A became available with a Law Firm as a Bookkeeper. The role was for her! Numbers galore. She followed up her studies with a Diploma of Accounting and a Cert IV in Training and Assessment.

Having been involved with the family business for many years she decided to start her own business so that she could help SME focus on their own business with her role being to help them grow the business.

Roslyn has enjoyed the challenges this throws her way. Being a BAS Agent has helped her grow as a business and helped with her role as a Bookkeeper. When she is not working you can either find her out and about on her Vespa or out exploring the outdoors trying to capture the best photo.

Kamara Wagstaff

Kamara Wagstaff has been in the bookkeeping industry for over 30 years.  In that time she has seen the industry change from a once on the job junior position to a now much more regulated and professional career requiring qualifications, ongoing professional development and a wide and varied knowledge of software in order to do what was once considered a basic job.  Kamara has accomplished quite a lot in her career, now the CEO and owner of a bookkeeping company (Infinity Business Solutions) which has 15 staff and an RTO (The Australian Institute of Bookkeeping), recently passing their ASQA audit with a perfect result , which offers nationally recognised qualifications in Certificate III Accounts Administration, Certificate IV Bookkeeping and Certificate IV Accounting.

Kamara’s qualifications are also as impressive as her achievements.  She holds her Certificate IV in Financial Services, Accounting and Bookkeeping; a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; a Diploma in Business and a Diploma in Management.  She is also a Certified Consultant for MYOB, having been one for 13 years and this year was the proud recipient of the Innovator of the Year Award at the annual MYOB CC Conference in Brisbane.  Kamara has also been a bookkeeping partner for Reckon for the last 10 years and is also an accredited advisor for Xero since 2015 and hosts the Mt Waverley ICB monthly Network Meeting.

When it comes to bookkeeping Kamara’s philosophy is to never stop learning and moving with the changes, not against them.  Knowing that correct bookkeeping can be the cornerstone of any business, her RTO strives to be at the forefront of training future bookkeepers to be both knowledgeable and adaptive to change.  Her bookkeeping business strives to offer their clients the full complement of bookkeeping services on all popular programs and Kamara believes strongly in working with people to achieve all that can be achieved.  This includes a strong focus on working with (not just for) both clients and their accountants to ensure that they know exactly where their finances are placed at any given time.
