BAS Service Provider
ICB awaits the release of information from treasury in relation to the proposed requirements for the BAS Service Provider. The requirements ARE NOT KNOWN and HAVE NOT been released for consideration by any part of industry.
Please note there is NO legislative definition of a “BAS Service” at this time. Neither is there any guidance on what a “BAS Service Provider” is nor what level of education they may require. Any comments to the contrary, at this time, are not based on fact. ICB will keep you informed and will provide bookkeepers with appropriate pathways to finding the best education and the best way to become accredited under whatever the requirements become for the new “BAS Service Provider”.
