Update - BAS Service Provider - New Legislation
Government continues to understand our world!
The ICB, together with other segments of the bookkeeper community, continue to be in discussion with government (ATO & Treasury & others) in connection with the impact and reality of the proposed new legislation. The ICB continues to represent you in ATO forums, wider bookkeeper industry groups and discussions, Treasury presentations, submissions to Government.
Government information is very broad in terms of public release of the proposals; it could be anything from tomorrow through to November or never subject to other factors of concern.
The ICB is one of the voices encouraging government to understand our reality. The ICB is continually invited to make submissions into the process.
We work with the software companies, training companies, resource providers about the needs and wants of bookkeepers. We continue to work with education providers to ensure that all Bookkeepers will have access to the appropriate training that equips you to be competent for the work you are doing.
Any information that indicates that this process is closed to only one organisation is wrong.
