MYOB Approved Bookkeeper Membership Criteria
As a Professional Bookkeeper, your clients expect you to not only have a thorough knowledge of Australia’s most popular software for small to medium businesses - MYOB business management software but also a thorough knowledge of the principals of Bookkeeping.
To be eligible for membership of the MYOB Approved Bookkeeper program, you will need to meet the following criteria:

Currently a bookkeeper in private practice in Australia with external third party clients (Employee bookkeepers are not eligible)

Provide MYOB with a copy of your business letterhead, together with a copy of either your Business Registration Certificate or Certificate of Incorporation

Have a high level of proficiency in using MYOB software, including payroll time billing and inventory management
-
A minimum of two years practical bookkeeping/accounting experience specialising in MYOB software applications
-
A thorough working knowledge of bookkeeping and/or accounting is required to assist client’s individual needs.

Detailed knowledge of other applications used with MYOB software, such as Microsoft® Excel and Microsoft® Word

Successful results in 6 assessments (3 levels of bookkeeper theory and 3 levels of practical bookkeeping).

Application process and costs
Become an MYOB Approved Bookkeeper in four easy steps:
Step 1: Ensure you meet the membership criteria
Step 2: Register your interest
MYOB will then contact you within 48 hours to discuss the process or submit the Approved Bookkeepers Application Form
Step 3: Successfully complete the online skills assessments.
Step 4: Gather your document including:

A copy of your business letterhead

A copy of your Business Registration Certificate or Certificate of Incorporation
Step 5: Take up membership:
Upon successfully completing the assessments and proving your eligibility to become an MYOB Approved Bookkeeper, you can start practicing. Shortly after paying your yearly membership fee of $999 incl. GST, MYOB will send you the tools and resources you need for your business success.

There are 13 units required to achieve a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) uccessful completion of the required 6 MYOB Approved Bookkeeper assessments will give you a credit of up to 10 unitsThis will leave only 3 units to do to achieve your Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping)
