Compulsory Superannuation Guarantee contribution cut-off date
The next compulsory superannuation guarantee contribution cut-off date is fast approaching. Remember to make your payments using the Clearing House by Sunday 28 April 2013. Please note, the Australian Taxation Office website advises that where a cut-off date for payment falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, you can make the payment on the next working day after the cut-off date. For more information go to www.ato.gov.au
Your superannuation obligations are met as soon as your payment and instructions for your employees’ are accepted by the Clearing House.
Making payments is simple
To start making payments, log on to the Clearing House using your user ID and password. If you don't have this information, please call us on 1300 660 048* or email us at SBSCHenquiries@humanservices.gov.au and we will be happy to assist you.
Once you have logged on, select Employee and follow the simple instructions. After you have added your employees and selected their superannuation fund, select the Payments link on the side menu, then Instructions. It's that simple.
The Clearing House offers you two payment methods to meet your superannuation obligation: BPAY and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). The contribution bill contains all the necessary information on how to make payments.
You only need to add your employee information once. This information will then be automatically populated for you each time you make a superannuation contribution, saving you and your business valuable time.
