ICB Member Newsletters via Podcast

As of June 2012, ICB will be providing the ICB monthly member newsletter via podcast.

You can now download the MP4 file and 'listen' to the newsletter at your convenience, whether it be in the car on the way to a client, while jogging or just relaxing. A list of contents and an 'index' is also provided for your convenience.

So..... what is a Podcast?

Basically, a podcast is a digital media file (audio file) that is downloaded directly from a streaming Internet source. They are distributed on the Internet using websites, and are hosted or authored by a podcaster. The media files are downloaded onto a computer, whether it is a home PC or a Mac, and then can be directly downloaded onto a digital media device like an iPod or other MP3 player. Many people simplify the podcast definition simply by calling it an online, prerecorded radio program over the Internet.

To download the file to your hard drive, double-click it, and it will play in your default software, quite possibly Windows Media Player. You can, of course, copy the audio file to a portable device, such as an MP3 player, PDA or mobile phone. These podcasts are down as an MPEG-4 file. You may need to look at compatibility issues but usually you can convert files on your PC.

If you are on a Mac download and open in iTunes it will automatically play.

Members will need to be logged onto the website to access these podcasts.
