MYOB EMPDUPE files - small correction needed

MYOB EMPDUPE files may receive an ECI error

MYOB have noted and indicated how to solve an issue with lodging their EMPDUPE files via ECI.

From their community forum:

If you are receiving the same warning that was mentioned in the original post which was:

WARNING 1 The Taxable component field must be within the range of '00000001-99999999', but we found:
    Taxable component [Position 231-238] = '00000000'

This may occur in rare circumstances.  It can be sovled in two ways:

  • simply click into the "taxable amount field" of the ETP section when reviewing the Payment Summaries of the impacted emplyee and type over the existing $0 with another $0, this will refresh the information & it will solve the warning (see screenshot below)
  • The second option is to literally click into the impacted employee card & click OK (instead of cancel).  This will refresh the card & avoid the warning.

This will be addressed in the next update for AccountRight 2012 but to ensure you can avoid warnings now follow the instructions listed above.

The EMPDUPE.A01 file will not upload via ECI client until the errors are fixed.
