Membership by Prior Learning

Membership by Accredited Prior Learning

The Institute recognises qualifications awarded by Recognised Training Providers (RTO's), and you may use these to gain an exemption for the appropriate level of membership.

 

Your qualification must be under two years old to be recognised as an exemption by the ICB.

 

If you are applying for Affiliate membership you will not be required to provide evidence of your experience as a bookkeeper but you will need at least a Certificate III in Financial Services, you will also be required to provide a copy of your certificate with your membership application.

 

If you intend to apply for an Associate membership or a Member you will need to provide us with evidence of your experience as a bookkeeper in Australia, 1 year for an Associate and 2 years for a Member.

 

(Member applications can only be accepted with a minimum Certificate IV qualification)

 

When applying for membership by Prior Learning, please provide a detailed CV together with copies of all qualifications (do not provide the original documents as we cannot be held responsible for their return) with as much detail as possible about the subjects that you covered.
