Since 1 March 2010, Tax and Business Activity Statement (BAS) agents are required to be registered under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009.

The Malka Group (TMG), Australia’s leading private training provider offers the FNS40210 Certificate IV in Bookkeeping which includes the units FNSBKG404A Carry out Business Activity and Installment Activity Statement tasks and FNSBKG405A Establish and maintain a payroll system that together comprise a course in basic GST/BAS taxation principles and that are approved by the Tax Practitioners Board.

Eligibility for government subsidised training places:

If you are a person seeking a higher qualification than the highest qualification already held by you and you are an Australian citizen, or Australian Permanent Resident (holder of a permanent visa), or holder of a Special Category Visa (sub-class 444, New Zealand citizen), or East Timorese asylum seeker, or are the holder of a Temporary Protection Visa you may be eligible for government funded qualifications.

The government may also fund for eligible people combined courses like the combined FNS40210 Certificate IV in Bookkeeping together with the FNS40610 Certificate IV in Accounting.

FNS40210 Certificate IV in Bookkeeping is deemed a Traineeship for new and existing employees, the employer may be eligible for the Commonwealth Employer Incentive of $4,000.00 for eligible employees. Traineeship can be offered to full time and part time employees. The government also funds dual qualifications so you could undertake a FNS40210 Certificate IV in Bookkeeping together with a FNS40610 Certificate IV in Accounting or other qualifications combinations.

FNS40210 Certificate IV in Bookkeeping is a nationally recognised qualification and provides the basis for a vital and interesting career path for those in, or wishing to enter, the Accounting and Bookkeeping profession. It is a qualification which not only meets Legislative requirements but also presents and explains the concepts, processes and systems relevant to the day to day operation of both large and small business.
