ICB Practical Assessments
Our belief is that, within the 5 to 10 year timeframe every bookkeeper employed or in a bookkeeping business will need to have the Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping). Sometime sooner (within the next 5 years) all those bookkeepers who are "RELIED ON to assist clients in the preparation of their BAS must register as a BAS Agent and therefore most likely (99% certain) need a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) or (Accounting) or similar or greater.
We have researched, refined and released three Practical Bookkeeping Assessments. These three levels of intensive assessments test actual bookkeeping skills.
Cengage Education, Quality Training Solutions, and others underway, now consider the ICB’s three practical bookkeeping assessments as acceptable skills assessments. If a candidate successfully completes all three assessments and is an ICB member, they receive credits for 9 units (out of 13) towards the Certificate IV (Bookkeeping) from both Cengage and Quality Training Solutions.
You too could be one of the 'others underway'
