I started Talo Financial Solutions in 2011 after years of bookkeeping in employee positions. Using existing knowledge under RPL and providing the extra units also needed, Jill and Bookkeeping School helped me to satisfy the education requirements for my TPB registration.

Starting from nothing we now have just over 15 clients, two staff members and our own office. We have a long way to go but thrive on learning, innovation and most of all being surrounded by small businesses and their everyday needs. I would like to sincerely thank the ICB for their excellent work, knowledge base and support. I truly believe they are making this industry a better place.

I would also like to thank Bookkeeping School for a really great experience both with refreshing existing skills and learning new ones.

I was recently at a Pure Bookkeeping Seminar in Melbourne and after chatting to a few of the bookkeepers there we have all agreed that ICB have blitzed the competition with regards to service, support of its members, not trying to flog us stuff all the time and concentrating on the needs of its members as well as supplying great content in newsletters.

So we think you should all be congratulated on your hard work and persistence to become the best Association for bookkeepers around.

These are great sources of information – detailed & understandable. I really like the checklist of work performed and will definitely use it. Personally, I haven’t ever had to calculate depreciation & apply it to the books, I have always left it for the accountant & entered their journals at year end. I do like to ‘check’ the accountants calculations and understand their journals though.

The second document with the flow chart is good too

Just a quick note to express my appreciation in the preparation and distribution of the ICB Member Guide 2011-2012 and The Definitive Guide – The BAS Agent.

Whilst I use the website I have already found both books to be invaluable.

I have also shown them to other people, especially non ICB Members and have recommended they join ICB.
